Hi Jim, Go to www.amazon.co.uk and search on mountain stage. More specifically, go to: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Mountain-Evenin ... UTF8&s=dvdThe problem is that the DVD is in PAL format for Region 2 (Europe) and will not play in USA DVD players.

 Thanks Blu
Hi Blu: I might be able to have it changed from the Pal format, but I am not sure. I will hope they get the sense to sell it over here in a format that we can play in the USA. JIm

Here you go James. Try CD-WOW's US site. http://www.cd-wow.us/detail_results_11.php?product_code=1858757Although Play.com have it listed as a region 2 , It's always been my understanding that a good many music DVDs are in fact region 0 (region free). I've never had any problems (so far) buying music DVDs from North America and playing them over here.

 Thanks Stephen
Hi Stephen: The only thing holding back is Blu's comment that the PAL format does not play in the USA. I have heard that and not sure that I can get it converted. You are both so kind and helpful. Thank you kindly. Jim

Worthwhile checking your exact model of DVD player spec online or in the manual - it may well have a built in PAL-NTSC conversion feature. Many have the reverse over here in the UK.

It seems from all the sites where this dvd is shown that this is three separate short shows - Nanci, Richard Thompson and Paul Brady.
Rather puzzling then that Amazon.co.uk are showing the dvd as being Nanci, Richard Thompson and Rodney Crowell, and have a picture of the cover that also clearly states Rodney Crowell, with his photo on it as well...

I think it's just a stock photo error on Amazon.co.uk, someone's pulled up the Crowel version instead of the Brady pic. The text is down as Brady. German Amazon has the Rodney Crowell version down as already available: http://www.amazon.de/Various-Artists-Mountain-Thompson-Griffith/dp/B0009PLPUA/sr=1-1/qid=1171347801/ref=sr_1_1/302-4237833-6263215?ie=UTF8&s=dvdFrench Amazon has the Paul Brady versions available on 12th March 07 also: http://www.amazon.fr/Mountain-Evening-Griffith-Richard-Thompson/dp/B0009PLPUA/sr=1-3/qid=1171347728/ref=sr_1_3/402-9464813-8484935?ie=UTF8&s=dvd which ties in with play.com.

Got my copy of this DVD today, and it's very good. You get half and hour of Nanci doing a intimate litle set with just James Hooker in accompaniment. Track list for Nanci's section is:
Two For The Road Gulf Coast Highway Deadwood, South Dakota Flyer Traveling Through This Part Of You It's a Hard Life Wherever You Go.
James gets a fair bit of camera time as well, with lots of close ups of both playing and singing. Nanci is also joined by Eric Taylor for Deadwood, SD and they enjoy a bit of banter. A very nice addition to the DVD collection if you haven't already ordered a copy.

I received my copy of the Mountain Stage DVD today and it plays fine in the United States. My version is in a Codefree (0) format.
